Pastor Thomas

Thomas is a local pastor in Southeast Asia who embodies pure and undefiled religion according to James: to care for the orphan in their distress (1:27). His vision is to see children off the streets of India, provided with their physical and emotional needs, and nourished with the hope and compassion of the gospel.

To realize this vision, along with his wife, daughter, and son-in-law, Thomas founded and directs Bethesda Ministries of India – two children’s homes in Southern India, one for boys and one for girls, each housing around 70 children at a time. In addition to nurturing each of these children as their own – physically and emotionally – Bethesda Ministries offers biblical and spiritual education within their homes to share the reality of the gospel and disciple their children into a life of faith in Jesus. This trifecta of compassion care, along with the sense of genuine belonging the family cultivates, has led to the complete life transformation of every child within their homes – a poignant picture of the sheer redemptive power of the gospel, one life at a time.

Additionally, Bethesda Ministries of India also operates Bethesda Bible Seminary – a school of ministry for 18-20 year-olds providing biblical education and training to young people, that they would carry the message and power of the gospel back to their own communities and villages.
